Lois Lowry's books were big favourites of mine. I powered through the Anastasia series and read them many times over. Anyway I did an image search for the editions of the series that I remembered (with Anastasia's huge round specs) and BINGO!
Miss Krupnik was a style maven.
I think the whole bow thing really left an indelible mark on my psyche and perhaps could be the root cause of my hairbow obsession scratch that, way of life.
